Datuk Peter Chong Ton Nen is the Founder and Managing Partner of Peter Chong & Co. with a career spanning over five decades.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He is also a licensed auditor under Section 8 of the Malaysian Companies Act, 1965 and a qualified liquidator.
Datuk Peter Chong began his professional journey in 1968, serving his articles his articles in Hacker Young, London in 1968. Upon obtaining his membership with the ICAEW, Datuk Peter returned to Malaysia and founded Peter Chong & Co. in 1974. Under his leadership, Peter Chong & Co. has grown to become one of the foremost established auditing and financial services firms in Malaysia.

In his role as Managing Partner of Peter Chong & Co. and Peter Chong Corporate Advisory, Datuk Peter has provided strategic financial consultancy to a broad spectrum of clients, including private individuals, SMEs, and publicly listed companies across various industries. His advisory experience includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate and debt restructuring, and Initial Public Offerings (IPOs). He has advised and implemented mergers and acquisitions, corporate and debt restructurings and Initial Public Offerings.
In addition to his firm-level leadership, Datuk Peter has also contributed to the profession at a regional level. He has served on the Board of BKR International Asia Pacific Region including a term as Chairman of the Board, helping to shape the strategic direction of one of the world’s leading global accounting networks.
