Carine Tan is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. She holds a BA degree from the University of Strathclyde (UK) which she obtained in 1997.

Upon graduation, Carine began her professional journey with Peter Chong & Co. as an audit assistant. Over the years, she has risen through the ranks to become the firm’s Senior Partner. With extensive experience in audit and assurance, she has served both private and public listed companies across a wide range of industries.  

Carine’s expertise extends beyond statutory audit to include business advisory services in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and initial public offerings. She has served as a Reporting Accountant for IPOs on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and plays an active role in the firm’s Corporate Advisory department.  

Regionally and globally recognized, Carine served on the Board of BKR International for the Asia-Pacific Region and held the position of Chairperson from 2022 to 2024. She currently serves as a global board member of BKR International, contributing to the strategic direction of the international accounting network.
